Dancemasters Disco Feb '26

DANCEMASTERS is coming back to Riversdale on Friday 27th Feb!
Dancemaster Alex, legend of the dance floor, will be returning to our top hall with his amazing showcase, a fusion of music, games and dance moves.
Please note the show will contain loud music, dark environment and flashing lights.
There will be two Dancemasters shows, each with age appropriate content:
Early Years + KS1 (Nursery to Year 2)
Time: 15:15 - 16:30
Music, games and funky dance moves!
Tickets are £7.50 per child including a snack and a drink.
Logistics:
Look out for an email containing all the details nearer to the event. Here are the key highlights:
- Participating Early Years + KS1 Children will be escorted to the event by their teachers.
- Nursery children must be accompanied by a parent or carer on a 1:1 basis.
- Sparkle, Glitter and Crystal children opting to attend Dancemasters must be accompanied by a parent or carer on a 1:1 basis.
- Children must be collected from the middle hall by a nominated adult at 16:30. Please exit the school via the Pirbright Road gate.
- If you require your child to attend Baileys after the disco, please book the early session separately via Arbor and then send a Weduc message to the office noting that your child will be attending Baileys after the disco.
KS2 (Year 3 to Year 6)
Time: 17:00 - 18:30
Get down with DJ Alex and rock the top hall roof off!
Tickets are £7.50 per child including a snack and a drink.

- Children who are not attending Baileys first should be dropped off at the MAIN GATE at 16:45. Please ensure your child has been signed in before you leave.
- Sparkle, Glitter and Crystal children opting to attend Dancemasters must be accompanied by a parent or carer on a 1:1 basis.
- All Children must be collected from the middle hall by a nominated adult when the event ends at 18:30. Please enter and exit the school via the Pirbright Road gate.
- KS2 children who are attending the disco, but are not going to Baileys, will need to be collected from school as usual at 15.15 and return to school at 16.45 for the event.
- If you require your child to attend Baileys before the disco, please book the early session separately via Arbor.

Parental consent and information is required for your child to be admitted to the event.
The PTC will hold these records securely and they will only be used for the purposes of the Dancemasters disco.
Safeguarding and wellbeing of children attending the event is our top priority, therefore please read the event information and disco rules thoroughly.
Medication and Allergies
The PTC does not have access to school records or medication held onsite. Please ensure we have the appropriate information and medication in order to keep your child safe. Medication and instructions must be handed to a first aider on arrival.
Disco Rules
Only children who are currently enrolled at Riversdale school may attend the event.
Please do not send children to the event with mobile phones, cameras or trainers with wheels. Use of mobile phones and cameras by attendees during the disco is strictly prohibited.
Coats and bags must be stored in the middle hall on arrival and collected before departure.
Bringing valuables is discouraged and they must not be taken up to the top hall under any circumstances.
Children must be collected by the nominated parent or guardian. They will not be allowed to leave the school premises unaccompanied.
Please note that if your child is absent from school for any reason on Friday 27th Feb, they will not be allowed to attend the disco (unless Steven has given special prior permission for them to attend).
Behaviour
We aim to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone. The organisers reserve the right to remove any child from the event if their behaviour is deemed unsafe, disruptive, or poses a risk to themselves or others.
Please make sure your child knows that school values and expected behaviour extend to PTC-organised events.
If you have a child who may require extra support during the disco, we strongly encourage you to volunteer to help or accompany them.
Supervision
ALL children attending Dancemasters from Nursery, Sparkle, Glitter and Crystal classes must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible parent or carer at all times. Event organisers and volunteers are not responsible for the supervision or welfare of children who attend with a parent or carer.
Liability
While every effort will be made to ensure the event is safe and well managed, the organisers accept no liability for loss, injury, or damage arising from attendance at the event, except where required by law.
Photography
Photos or videos may be taken during the event for school or PTC use. Please inform organisers by emailing riversdaleptc@gmail.com if you do not wish your child to be included.
